This past Thursday was the Brooklyn Salon opening reception at the CCSU Art Galleries. In my last post, ‘Sneak Preview’, I wrote about my take on the artists’ work while we were still installing the show.
In this post I just wanted to give you a pictorial recap of the show.
James Esber provided us with an artist talk in which he spoke about his process. He likes to take several images juxtaposing them with each other and reconstruct his own imagery. What I found interesting is he picks images that are historical in context yet he isn’t trying to inject his creation with his thoughts and point of view, rather he focuses more on his style and technique and like to see how the public feels about it.
